VIA FERRATA GROUPS
Group Rate - Except as state below, groups of ten or more via ferrata climbers, scheduled in advance, pay a flat group rate of $40 per climber, for all ages, all gear included. The rate for weekday groups who are accompanied by a paid guide is $35/climber. NRP may require a 20% advance deposit. Deposits are non-refundable in case of no-shows or cancellation less than 72 hours prior to the scheduled climb, but may be applied toward a later climb at NRP's sole discretion.
Members of unguided groups receive a group orientation by NRP staff prior to climbing.
Guided Groups - Professional guides are available for via ferrata groups - please contact NRP for current prices and scheduling.
A via ferrata group is required to be guided if it is (1) a "commercial group", or (2) a "youth group" which includes persons under 18 years of age not accompanied by their parents or guardians (13 years old minimum). Commercial groups include all groups organized and/or led by outside commercial outfitters, schools, guide services etc., or which otherwise charge group members a separate fee for services in connection with the group trip.
Generally, one guide is required for every 10 climbers (or fraction thereof). In addition, youth groups are required to include two or more responsible adults for every eight minors.

A separate NRP Registration and Release form is required for each group member and leader. To save time upon arrival, you may want to download our Visitor Registration Packet, make copies and distribute to each member to read and sign in advance. Remember, a parent or legal guardian must sign for each group member under age 18, so minors not accompanied by a parent/guardian must bring pre-signed releases.

ROCK CLIMBING GROUPS
Group organizers which have been approved by NRP to organize and/or lead groups for conventional, roped rock climbing activities at the Preserve (see Rock Climbing) must contact NRP to schedule each visit at least seven days prior to each visit. Dates, times and areas of the Preserve to be used by the group are subject to NRP approval in its sole discretion. All group members, leaders etc. must sign individual releases and pay a day use fee of $5 upon arrival for each visit. Minors not accompanied by their parents or guardians must bring pre-signed parental releases.
GROUP ORGANIZER INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS
Upon request, all organizations desiring to sponsor, organize and/or lead via ferrata or conventional rock climbing groups as described above shall deliver and maintain on file with NRP current evidence of liability insurance in form and amount(s) satisfactory to NRP, naming as additional insureds the following parties:
